Storyfest to Host Texas Poetry Calendar Reading

George West will be among ten Texas cities to host readings by poets featured in the Texas Poetry Calendar 2009. In its eleventh edition, the calendar is a week-by-week calendar pairing Texas-based poems with each week of the year. Published by Dos Gatos Press in Austin, The Texas Poetry Calendar 2009 includes poems by almost eighty poets. Reading at Storyfest this year will be the publishers/editors of Dos Gatos Press, Scott Wiggerman and David Meischen (a native of nearby Orange Grove), Kelly Ellis (Austin), karla k. morton (Denton), and George West’s own Mary Margaret Dougherty.  Join Dos Gatos Press and the featured poets at the First National Bank Stage at 12:30 for some Texas poetry.
