Storyfest to Host Texas Poetry Calendar Reading

George West was among ten Texas cities to host readings by poets featured in the Texas Poetry Calendar 2009. In its eleventh edition, this calendar is a week-by-week calendar pairing Texas-based poems with each week of the year. Published by Dos Gatos Press in Austin, The Texas Poetry Calendar 2009 includes poems by almost eighty poets. Reading at Storyfest this year were the publishers/editors of Dos Gatos Press, Scott Wiggerman and David Meischen (a native of nearby Orange Grove), Kelly Ellis (Austin), karla k. morton (Denton), and George West’s own Mary Margaret Dougherty.  Dos Gatos Press featured poets at the First National Bank Stage.
