Kid's Challenge ~ Dummy Roping

The Storyfest Kid's Challenge is NEW for 2016. NO Entry Fees!

Please note that the Dummy Roping requires a birth certificate at either pre-registration or day of registration for each contestant. This event is the ONLY event requiring a birth certificate.

The Challenges will be as follows:

Dummy Roping ~ Ages 3 - 12 (11:30 am to 1:00 pm)

There will be 4 Age Divisions: 3-4, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12.

Storyfest Dummy Roping Rules:

Ages 3-4

Each contestant will get 3 loops in the first round. If they catch all three they will come back to the finals at which time they will be moved back in 1' increments until we determine a winner. There are only 3 legal head catches that count (slick horn, half head or neck). If no one catches any of these on their first 3 loops we will give everyone an extra loop until someone does. Fishing is allowed. Contestants may have help building their loops.

There are only 3 legal head catches that count (slick horn, half head or neck). No fishing is allowed! Contestants may not have any help building their loops.

1st Place winners in each age division will receive a buckle/2nd & 3rd place medals.
All contestant must either pre-register or register day off event starting at 10:30 am at the Registration Table in front of the H-E-Buddy Land.
Must have parent's consent on the registration form.

Stick Horse Racing ~ Ages 3 - 7 (1:00 pm to 1:30 pm)

There will be 3 Age Divisions for both Boys & Girl: 3, 4-5, & 6-7.
Each Age/Gender Division will run at the same time and must ride from start to finish.
Each Contestant may bring their own stick horse or use one provided at the event.
1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place ribbons will be presented for each age/gender divisions.
All contestant must either pre-register or register day off event starting at 10:30 am at the Registration Table in front of the H-E-Buddy Land.
Must have parent's consent on the registration form.

Shoe Scramble ~ Ages 5 ~ 10 (1:30 pm to 2:00 pm)

There will be 3 Age Divisions for both Boys & Girl: 5-6, 7-8, & 9-10.
This event will consist of contestants taking off one shoe of which will be put in a pile; contestant will run down to pile to search for shoe, putting it back on and running back across the finish line.
1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place ribbons will be presented for each age/gender divisions.
All contestant must either pre-register or register day off event starting at 10:30 am at the Registration Table in front of the H-E-Buddy Land.
Must have parent's consent on the registration form.

Frisbee Throw ~ Ages 3 ~ 12 (2:00 pm - 2:30 pm)

There will be 3 Age Divisions for both Boys & Girl: 3-5, 6-8, 9-10, & 11-12.
This event will consist of contestants throwing a frisbee towards a designated area.
The winners will consist of whomever throws the frisbee the longest length in the designated area.
1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place ribbons will be presented for each age/gender divisions.
All contestant must either pre-register or register day off event starting at 10:30 am at the Registration Table in front of the H-E-Buddy Land.
Must have parent's consent on the registration form.
